I Found a New Poet

There is poet named Anna Swir that I just stumbled across. I think she's fabulous.

She Does Not Remember

She was an evil stepmother.
In her old age she is slowly dying
in an empty hovel.

She shudders
like a clutch of burnt paper.
She does not remember that she was evil.
But she knows
that she feels cold.

Anna Swir

The Greatest Love

She is sixty. She lives
the greatest love of her life.

She walks arm-in-arm with her dear one,
her hair streams in the wind.
Her dear one says:
"You have hair like pearls."

Her children say:
"Old fool."

Hello Mary Janie! Love your blog. I read the poem you sent me the link to; love it too, but hope you are not referring to yourself as the pug ugly sister. No way. I am more of an Emily D. gal, and am glad to see you don't distain her for the more moderns.

Happy mothers' day to you!

Do you believe Anna Swir's evil stepmother is analogous to an evil boss? Hmmmm.... Don't realize they're evil, so it could be, right? Time to run away, MJ, team Linda is no more; it's time to go!

Love you, Linda Loo

Hello Ms. Linder and Happy Mother's Day to you too! Pug ugly sister represents past "sins",not actually me. Emily D rocks! Maybe the evil stepmother is a boss, but it certainly wouldn't be you cause you were lovely. Yes it is time to go. But have to be careful where.

anon & MJ, Happy Mother's Day to you both as you are both fine examples of how someone should love and care for those wondrous beings who've been gifted to you. I am always astounded at your abilities to not only manage, but teach the lessons of life.

Now...

Any reference to "ugly" does not apply here. I think you're both gorgeous and, if truth be told, is the real reason I gladly suffer through one awful film after another on film night. My pleasure, believe me.

Happy day to you both!
