Somebody Turn Out the Lights

Why am I waking up every night at 3:30 like clockwork?! I think I am going to die of sleep deprivation. I heard some people at work talking about how they get up in the middle of the night too. And Jr. and FP also. Is it a collective phenomenon? I want 8hours damn it! In other uplifting news, I think I am joining Jr. in the defective lung club. Exhaust pipe on car broke, breathed in toxic fumes to and from work today, lungs congested and strangely light headed for most of the day. Hell's bells.

Sleep

Come, Sleep; O Sleep! the certain knot of peace.
The baiting-place of wit, the balm of woe,
The poor man's wealth, the prisoner's release,
Th' indifferent judge between the high and low;
With shield of proof shield me from out the prease
Of those fierce darts Despair at me doth throw:
O make in me those civil wars to cease;
I will good tribute pay, if thou do so.
Take thou of me smooth pillows, sweetest bed,
A chamber deaf to noise and blind of light,
A rosy garland and a weary head;
And if these things, as being thine by right,
Move not thy heavy grace, thou shalt in me,
Livelier than elsewhere, Stella's image see.

Sir Philip Sidney

Balls, balls, if I had them I'd be king!!! Hello Sr., sorry about the lung issue, just drink pomegranate juice and you will heal right up! Talk to you later.

MJ, We'll get together next week. In the meantime, you should rent the film "Insomnia". There are two versions of the film, the original (starring Stellan SkarsgÄrd - 1997) and the remake (which stars Al Pachino - 2002). I'd recommend the original, although Pachino and Hilary Swank give great performances in the remake. You should also pick up some Melatonin at the Vitamine Shoppe. It works for me. I'll send you a link.

anonymous, Forget the balls bit, I'd rather have you running thing just as you are!

Sleep, those little slices of death; Oh how I loathe them.

Hello Jr., I am drinking coffee and robatussin. And I don't remember mama saying that either, the balls thing. Maybe I will get some pomegranate juice.

LC, I saw the Pacino Insomnia, it was excellent. Yesterday at work I was saying "I feel like Al Pacino in Insomnia." Definately next week for movie/dinner, can't wait! Maybe I'll pick up Melatonin but I think I'd rather have Xanax.

FP, I think we are living the same life sometimes, or we were separated at birth. Here's a test: Rod Stewart, did you love him in the early 70s and hate him after? If yes, then that's proof!

that seals it. footloose and fancy free and every picture tells a story are gospels to me. his version of "if loving you is wrong" just pierces my soul like a blessed arrow.

after the 70s? what'd he do after the seventies?

i broke down and refilled my lunesta. it started to feel like i would NEVER SLEEP AGAIN! like my brain was just going to keep running, bubbling slowly like a little pot of baked beans on the back burner on low even when i closed my eyes and thought i was sleeping. only time i seem to slip into real sleep is when i need to get up. i am looking forward to getting a decent 5 to 8 hours tonight. now i need to slip a mickey to the cat so he sleeps at night. he sleeps all day and wants to play and have quality time and sing at night. sheesh.

I have been awake to FP. It looks like the deal to sell our home is kaput, which means no Weehawken. I can't sleep and have no energy.....blah! Did manage to give the dog a bath, now I have to clean the tub. One thing I learned about sleeping though is that certain smells do relax me more than others, like lavander. Maybe a lavander sache next to your pillow would help too. Also, nothing like a good glass of wine and some delicious chinese food to help a person sleep. On another note, have you ever seen the movie Scanners? It is awesome, psychics blow each others heads up.

New post please..... FP, how did the pomegranate juice work out. Did you notice a reduction in your wheezing?

you will get Character: Hermione Only corridor vehicles would run within rakes on main line express trains unless on parcels expresses, and in those bogie stock would lead, ahead of four or six-wheeled vehicles at reduced speeds because non-bogie stock could not - or were not supposed to - run at high speeds. excellent resale value. And, we all know that pawn shops don't get traffic like the local wal-mart.
