Pills and Paper
I take the pills
Because I don’t want what’s what,
And scream in paragraph form.
I’m passing out
Parting gifts
Pretty like the glitter
Of blood under a street light.
Here’s some pain, take it off
My hands.
It’s free and never you mind
The cost.
It was nothing
I couldn’t afford.
